The Hypoestes also known as the “Polka Dot” plant features speckled leaves known for air-purifying properties, enhancing indoor air quality. Its low maintenance requirements make it suitable for beginners seeking both aesthetic appeal and functional benefits in home or office environments.

Your plant thrives best near a window in a warm, humid setting. Direct sunlight should be avoided, as it can cause leaf scorch however insufficient light can result in diminished leaf colouration. These plants require consistently moist, well-drained soil and as such, should occur only after the top one inch of soil has dried.
