The Boston Fern or Nephrolepis exaltata has broad fronds with alternate leaflets on either side of the midrib, the fronds can grow up to 1 meter long! The plants will also send out long, thin runners from the base of the plant which will root to form a new plant when/if they touch the ground.

It is easily grown in hanging baskets or other containers where the long fronds can hang downward readily.

For best results, position the plant in medium to bright light and keep the soil moist (but not wet) at all times during spring and summer. Water when the top few centimetres of soil become dry during the cooler months. Ferns love humidity, so be sure to mist your plant to increase humidity in the dryer months & this will also keep your plant dust free.
