The Philodendron Shangri-La is a hardy, resilient plant with glossy, dark-green leaves that have distinct lobes, creating a tropical ambience indoors. It thrives in moist, well-draining soil and a warm setting, requiring minimal upkeep.
This plant thrives in well-lit areas with bright, indirect sunlight. However, it can also thrive in spaces with medium to low lighting, as long as the light source is not too far away. It should not be placed in areas without natural sunlight. Keep in mind that the leaves can be damaged if exposed to harsh direct light.
As your plant adjusts to its new home, it is common for one or two leaves to turn yellow or fall off. This is a natural part of the adaptation process and should not be a cause for worry. To promote optimal, even growth, periodically dust the leaves and fertilise with a liquid solution once a month.
