The Calathea Fasciata, also referred to as Pinstripe or Banded Calathea, features circular leaves with a variegated pattern of darker and lighter green, accompanied by purple undersides.

It loves bright indirect light, but can tolerate low light in the right conditions. Calathea raises their leaves in the morning and lowers them at night, giving them the common name, the “prayer plant”. 

Water regularly but sparingly, it loves moist soil but hates wet roots. Also note it doesn’t love tap water, if you notice the leaves browning slightly switch to distilled, filtered or rainwater.
